Meet the Owners

Deb

Hey ya'll. I am originally from New York and relocated to North Carolina in 2014 when my husband joined the Marine Corps. Since then, we've lived in a few places including Allentown, Philadelphia, and Puerto Rico.

Currently, we reside in Raleigh, North Carolina. When I am not roasting coffee, I am soaking up life with my little family, trying to master my yoga skills, and serving coffee at my local church.

My earliest memory of coffee goes back to when I was a little girl visiting my grandparents in Puerto Rico. No matter how late our flight arrived, my grandparents always welcomed us with warm buttered bread and a cup of coffee.

Coffee has always been a constant part of my life, most recently when my daughter was born while I was 26 weeks pregnant. During her stay at the NICU, she received daily doses of caffeine for treatment of apnea of prematurity. She's been wild ever since.

Hello! Being born and raised in southern West Virginia, I have always felt that farm-fresh was always best. That childhood of mine had a meaning of some kind, and that meaning now has somewhere to fall. Moving to North Carolina half my life ago, I have since married my husband and now reside in Pittsboro.

What I have learned from other roasters has given me a different perspective of what it truly means to enjoy a good cup of coffee. The symbolic nature that I have created around drinking coffee has had more of an impact on where I would like to see our freshly roasted coffee go.

Besides being in school and enjoying life traveling, I have a deep passion for exercise and any other activities that can get me outdoors.
